Research Study Summary

Smoking Cessation Study

Purpose

We are currently recruiting smokers who are really motivated to quit smoking. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of three approved medications, Habitrol, Zyban and Chantix, in combination and compared to a placebo (no active ingredient). Requires 12 weekly visits.

Patient Inclusion Criteria:

  • Participants must be 18-75 and smoke at least 10 cigarettes a day.

Patient Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients who have had an allergic reaction to a medication, have had a DUI, seizure or stroke, are not eligible to participate. In addition, there are certain medications which would exclude the patient from participating.
