Are You Still Struggling with Heartburn Even with Medication?

Wake Research Associates is looking for adults who are taking PPI medication for GERD, but are still experiencing GERD symptoms such as frequent heartburn, to participate in a medical research study.

Patient Inclusion Criteria
To be eligible to for study participation, you must:

  • Be 18-65 years of age
  • Have been experiencing GERD symptoms for at least three months
  • Have been taking a PPI medication for at least four weeks, but only have partial relief of your symptoms
  • Experience heartburn symptoms at least three days a week, and
  • Be willing to remain on your PPI medication during the study.

Patient Exclusion Criteria

  • People over the age of 65 and under the age of 18 that have not experienced GERD symptoms less than three days a week in the last three months. They should not be relieved of symptoms with medication for at least last four weeks. Unwilling to remain on your current PPI medicine.
