Do you suffer from IBS-d?

We are looking for participants for a research study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and effectiveness of an investigational medication or inactive placebo in patients with diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome.

Qualified Participants must:

  • Be male of female 18-80 years of age
  • Have been diagnosed with diarrhea predominant IBS, with =25% loose or watery stool and <25% hard or lumpy stool bowel movements
  • Also have received a colonoscopy in the past 5 years (for those 50 years and older), or meet any one of the following alarm features:
    • Documented weight loss in the past 6 months
    • Nocturnal symptoms such as abdominal pain or diarrhea at night
    • Familial history of colon cancer
    • Blood mixed with your stool (not caused by hemorrhoids)

If qualified, you:

  • Will attend 10 office visits over the course of 33 weeks
  • Will receive the study product and study-related care at no cost
  • May be compensated up to $50 per study visit for time and travel
