Tissue and Blood and Prospective Database Establishment for Molecular, Biochemical, and Histological Study of Thoracic Diseases

You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have been identified with a thoracic disease and will undergo procedures, such as a surgery, to collect blood and tissue specimens as a City of Hope patient. The purpose of this study is to acquire and bank biological specimens and related information from medical records for research to improve understanding of cancer biology and response to treatment. During this time, you will be asked to provide one blood draw and may have tissue collected during your surgery. Use of your specimens and medical record information may continue indefinitely.
