A Pilot Trial to Evaluate Cyclooxygenase 2 Inhibitor-Mediated Modulation of T Regulatory Cells in Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that is advanced (has spread to other parts of your body). The purpose of this study is to find out the best dose of Celebrex for reducing the amount of a specific type of white blood cell and other cells that help them develop and function. Researchers would also like to find out how Celebrex affects how the cells work. Lastly, researchers would like to find out what happens to the immune system when Celebrex is given for one week. You will receive Celebrex on this study on this study is expected to last 7 days. Your participation in this study is expected to last 8 to 21 days, depending on how many days lapse between screening tests and the 7 days of receiving Celebrex.
