Trial Information

PHI-67, NCI #9091: Phase I Study of the Aurora Kinase A Inhibitor MLN8237 in Combination with the Histone Deacetylase Inhibitor Vorinostat in Lymphoid Malignancies

You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have lymphoma and have had at least one prior treatment for your lymphoma. The purpose of this study is to determine the highest possible dose of the investigational drug MLN8237 that can be given with vorinostat before unmanageable side effects are seen. Repeated blood samples will be taken before and after the first dose of MLN8237 is given to study the levels of MLN8237 that stay in the body over time. Tumor biopsies will be obtained for laboratory tests to study the effect of the drug on tumor cells. Your treatment on this study is expected to last for as long as your tumor is not growing and you do not have any unmanageable side effects. Your condition will be followed for 30 days after you complete treatment or until all side effects have gotten better.
