Trial Information

Phase 1b Trial of mFOLFOX6 and Everolimus (NSC-733504) in Patients with Metastatic Gastroesophageal Adenocarcinoma

You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have cancer of the stomach or esophagus (gastroesophageal) that has spread. The purpose of this study is to determine the activity of combination chemotherapy (5-fluorouracil, leucovorin, oxaliplatin and everolimus) in subjects with gastroesophageal cancer. Tumor response (cancer staying the same or shrinking) and side effects will be evaluated. Blood samples and tumor tissue that is left over from a previous biopsy will be studied to see if it can be determined which tumors will respond to this combination. Your treatment on this study is expected to last for as long as your cancer is not growing and you are not having any unmanageable side effects. After your treatment on this study is over, your medical condition will be followed indefinitely.
