Trial Information

Cold Sores, Ages 6-11

This study medication, a cold sore creamcontains an antiviraland an anti-inflammatory. It is FDA-approved for adults and adolescents age 12 and up. We are conducting a clinical study of the cream in children age 6-11. To be in this study, children must have had at least 2 cold sores in the last 12 months. The study involves 4-6 office visits and several phone calls. The stipend is $50 for each office visit and $20 for each telephone call. This study does not involve any blood work.
