Acquisition of Peripheral Blood and/or Bone Marrow Aspirate from Patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia for Method Development of Aptamers Based Delivery Method of RNAi

You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have chronic lymphocytic leukemia. The purpose of this study is to provide biological specimens for laboratory studies of how siRNA/aptamers interact with chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells. Your participation in this study to donate your peripheral blood and/or bone marrow aspirate could involve one or multiple occasions. Your participation in this study will be a maximum of 3 years. You will not be asked to donate blood outside of your routine scheduled visits, and you will not be asked to donate blood more than once a month. You will also be able to refuse donating blood at each routine scheduled visit. The rationale for repeated collection is to gathering more specimens for laboratory studies. Each occasion is expected to last 10 minutes. The blood or bone marrow collected for this study is an additional collection to be done during routine visits.
