PHI-66 NCI#8846- Phase I Pharmacokinetic Study of Belinostat for Solid Tumors and Lymphomas in Patients with Varying Degrees of Hepatic Dysfunction

You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have an advanced cancer, your liver may or may not be working properly, and the standard drugs to treat your disease are no longer effective or there is no known effective treatment for your disease. The purpose of this study is to test the safety of belinostat at different dose levels in research participants with cancer who have different degrees of liver function, including research participants with normal liver function. Other purposes of this study are to find out what side effects occur when belinostat is given to research participants with different degrees of liver function, how much belinostat stays in the blood at specific times, and whether or not belinostat is effective in treating cancer in research participants with different degrees of liver function. Your treatment on this study is expected to last as long as your tumor is not growing and you are not experiencing any unmanageable side effects.After your treatment on this study is over, your medical condition will continue to be followed indefinitely.
