Impact of Adjuvant Chemotherapy on Metabolic Syndrome Risk Factors in Breast Cancer Patients

You have been asked to participate in this research study because you are a woman who has been diagnosed with stage I-III invasive breast cancer, have had a lumpectomy or mastectomy, and will be treated with chemotherapy. The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of chemotherapy treatment on metabolic syndrome risk factors (weight, blood pressure, biomarkers in the blood) in research participants with pre-menopausal and post-menopausal early stage breast cancer. Your participation in this study is expected to last for about 3 to 6 months, until the end of chemotherapy.
