Trial Information

A clinical evaluation for the management of patients with Major Depressive Disorder, single or recurrent episode, with deep brain stimulation

The goal of the study is to evaluate safety and efficacy deep brain stimulation in an area of your brain called Broadmann 25 in the treatment of severe depression. Deep brain stimulation refers to electrical stimulation of structures deep within the brain. Broadman area 25 is a part of your brain about the size of a sugar cube near the front and middle of your brain thought to control mood.
