SWOG S0702: A Prospective Observational Multicenter Cohort Study to Assess the Incidence of Osteonecrosis of the Jaw (ONJ) in Cancer Patients with Bone Metastases Starting Zoledronic Acid Treatment

You are being asked to take part in this study because you have cancer that has spread to the bone and are currently receiving or are planning to receive zoledronic acid as a part of your treatment. The purpose of this study is to learn how often ONJ occurs in research participants who are being treated with zoledronic acid during a 3 year time period after starting treatment. This study will also identify risk factors associated with ONJ. You will be asked to take part in the study for approximately 3 years. After you are finished with the study, you do not have to come to the clinic for reasons relating to the study.
