Research Study Summary

Research study for Asthma

Purpose

This is a research study for asthma. Subjects who meet the eligibility criteria at Screening and the randomization criteria at the end of a 28 day Run In period will enter a 24-week Treatment period. There will be a 7 day Follow Up period after the Treatment period.

The study will screen approximately 1100 subjects to enroll 588 subjects.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Subjects 12 years of age and older
  • A clinical history of asthma
  • Males and Females
  • Stable use of Inhaled Steroid with or without Long Acting Beta Agonist for 12 weeks prior to visit 1

Exclusion Criteria

  • Smoking history greater than 10 pack years
  • Woman cannot be pregnant or lactating and must be using a highly effective method of birth control

Additional criteria will be reviewed with the subject.

Volunteers will be asked to come to the study clinic for up to 11 study visits. These visits will take place in the early evening. Study participation lasts 25 weeks. All study related medical exams, laboratory tests and study medication are provided to qualified participants at no cost.

Compensation for time and travel is provided.
