Trial Information

Children are needed for a Washington University research study on obesity and micronutrients.

The purpose of the study is to determine if children who are overweight have lower levels of micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) than children who are normal weight. There is 1 study visit, lasting about 2 hours. Study procedures include a blood draw, completion of questionnaires and body measurements. Participants will receive blood test results including vitamin D level, cholesterol panel, and blood glucose (sugar) level at no charge.

Patient Inclusion Criteria:

  • Age 5 - 17
  • Parental consent

Patient Exclusion Criteria:

  • Diabetes
