MS - Central Neuropathic Pain due to Multiple Sclerosis
A study of Duloxetine in patients with central neuropathic pain due to Multiple Sclerosis
Patient Inclusion Criteria:
- Present with central neuropathic pain due to MS based on the disease diagnostic criteria.
- Male or female outpatients at least 18 yrs of age.
- Must be reliable and agree to keep all appointments for clinic visits, tests and procedures, must complete the daily diaries for at least 70% of the days between visit 1 and the day of visit 2.
Patient Exclusion Criteria:
- Have pain that cannot be clearly differentiated from causes other than MS, such as diabetic neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease, arthritis or other musculoskeltal condition, chronic headache, visceral pain, any current or historical DSM-IV diagnosis (APA 1994) of mania, bipolar disorder, psychosis, or schizoaffective disorder.
