Clinical Study for Cold Sores (Herpes Labialis) Medication

Women’s Health Care
Volunteers are needed to participate in a clinical research trial of an oral antiviral medication. This study will assess safety, tolerability, and response (in adolescents) to a medication used to treat Cold Sores (Herpes Labialis)

Participants must be:

  • Adolescents, male or female, 12 to <18 years
  • In general good health w/ a history typical for recurrent Herpes Labialis outbreaks
  • Have active recurrent cold sores (Herpes Labialis) outbreaks

If your child qualifies, your child will come to the clinic for two visits, and will receive:

  • Physical exam
  • Blood tests
  • Travel compensation to parents/guardians
