Trial Information

Japanese Encephalitis (inflammation of the brain) - Pediatric Population

Children are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by Bronx Lebanon Hospital.

Your child may be eligible to participate in this study if he or she:

  • Is age 6 months to 17 years old
  • Is planning to travel after the completion of the study vaccination schedule to an area where JE is endemic
  • Is in good general health

Your child may not participate in this study if he or she:

  • Is a female who is pregnant or breast feeding
  • Has any clinical manifestation of any Flavivirus disease
  • Has a history of autoimmune disease
  • Uses illegal drugs, and/or has a history of drug or alcohol addiction, and/or has a current drug or alcohol addiction
