Trial Information
Effect of 7 Days of Exogenous Pulsatile GnRH Treatment on the Pituitary-Gonadal Axis in Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadal Subjects
Men with idiopathic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (IHH) and Kallmann syndrome (KS) have a defect in Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone (GnRH). The purpose of the research study is to replace GnRH and examine the response of the pituitary (a gland in the brain) to the treatment. The information learned from this study will help us to better understand the response to treatment as well as to define subsets of IHH.
In this study, men age 18-65 with IHH/KS have a detailed evaluation which involves an overnight stay at the hospital and outpatient visits for one week.
Eligibility Criteria: Men 18-65 years diagnosed with IHH or KS
