Mental Health: Research Study on Postpartum Depression
Postpartum depression is a condition that affects 12-18% of all women who give birth in the United States. Social support has long been associated with the recovery process related to postpartum depression.
Researchers at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing are conducting a research study to examine the relationship between social support and postpartum depression.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
- are 18 years or older,
- speak English, and
- have recovered from postpartum depression in the last two years.
Qualified participants will be asked to participate in one or two audio-taped interviews covering seven open ended questions.
