Chronic Lower Back Pain
WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN MISSING DUE TO YOUR LOWER BACK PAIN?
- Do you find it hard to concentrate some days because of pain?
- Does low back pain make it hard to sleep, leaving you tired during the day?
- Have you missed work because of low back pain?
- Have you skipped activities with family and friends because you hurt too much?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may want to consider taking part in a research study.
To qualify for this study, you must meet the criteria below (other criteria apply):
- 18 years of age or older
- Have CLBP 3 months or longer with the use of pain medication more than 4 days per week for the past month
- Willing to STOP all pain treatments (oral, inhaled, topical, injected and rectal) for CLBP (as directed by study doctor)
Potential participants will be evaluated for qualification, first by pain assessment scales, and then by a study doctor during an office visit. If you qualify, you will have the option to take part in this study. Your participation will last approximately 28 weeks and will include up to 8 visits to the study center. Before you decide to participate, you will be informed in detail about the study and have a chance to have all of your questions answered.
