Chronic Low Back Pain Research Study
Potential participants will be evaluated for qualification, first by pain assessment scales, and then by a study doctor during an office visit. If you qualify, you will have the option to take part in this study. Your participation will last approximately 28 weeks and will include up to 8 visits to the study center. Before you decide to participate, you will be informed in detail about the study and have a chance to have all your questions answered.
The study medication will be given intravenously. This is done by inserting a needle into your arm and allowing the study drug to slowly enter your body over a 5 minute period of time. You will receive the study drug injection 2 times, 8 weeks apart. The study drug and/or placebo will be given to you by a medical professional
During week 16, if eligible and interested , study participants will be given the option to enroll in a study extension. During this time study participants would receive the study drug and study-related assessments.
To qualify for this study, you must meet the criteria below (other criteria apply):
- 18 years of age or older
- Have CLBP 3 months or longer with use of pain medication more than 4 days per week for the past month
- Willing to STOP all pain treatments (oral, inhaled, topical, injected and rectal) for CLBP (as directed by study doctor)
