Trial Information

Does your child suffer from tummy aches, abdominal pain, and/or reflux? If so, they may have gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD happens when acid is regurgitatedfrom the stomach into a tube above the stomach (esophagus). Symptoms can be uncomfortable and include stomache ache, heartburn, burping, vomiting, trouble swallowing or breathing, cough, hoarseness, and sore throat. This clinical study is being done to evaluate the efficacy and safety of an investigational drug in the treatment of children ages 1-11 years with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). This trial is being done at our Centennial and Thornton locations.

Patient Inclusion Criteria:

  • Age 1-11 years
  • Have gastroesophageal reflux disease based on symptoms such as heartburn, chest pain, burping, vomiting, or hoarseness

Patient Exclusion Criteria:

  • History of or active eosinophilic esophagitis, persistent milk protein allergy, or allergic gastroenteropathy
  • Current H. pylori infection
