Trial Information

Study of patients with Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis with a high risk of cardiovascular disease comparing the efficacy and safety of a study medication with other study medications.

Evaluation of efficacy and safety of a study medication in patients with osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis who also have a high risk for cardiovascular disease in comparison with other study medications.

Patient Inclusion Criteria:

  • Men or women 18 years of age or older
  • Diagnosis of OA or RA of at least 6 months
  • Must have required a chronic analgesic regimen for at least six months and is eligible for chronic daily therapy to control the symptoms
  • High risk for Cardiovascular Disease

Patient Exclusion Criteria:

  • Has acute joint trauma with symptoms
  • Planned surgery or invasive procedure
  • Known hypersensitivity to study medication
  • Malignancy within past 5 years
  • GI disorders
