Female Sexual Dysfunction Study of the safety and efficacy of a medication for the treatment of women with low sexual desire disorder
A medical research study for women who have lost their sexual desire. If you are at least 30 to 65 years of age, you may not realize your lack of interest in sex might be a common medical disorder. To qualify, you must have gone through menopause, or had your ovaries removed and be on a stable dose of estrogen therapy.
Patient Inclusion Criteria:
- Females, 30 to 65 years of age
- Noticed HSDD after hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy
- Taking a stable dose of estrogen therapy for at least three months
- In a stable monogamous, heterosexual relationship for at least 1 year and has been sexually active
Patient Exclusion Criteria:
- Moderate or severe acne
- Sexual Aversion Disorder or Female Sexual Arousal Disorder
- Taking Coumadin, Glucocorticosteroids, Anti-Depressants or Anti-Androgens
- Major Depression, anxiety, painful intercouse
- Relationship difficulties
- Partner has sexual dysfunction
