IBS with Constipation
The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness and safety of an investigational drug called Linaclotide in subjects with irritable bowel syndrome with constipation compared to a placebo. Qualified participants will receive at no cost: Study medication, study-related examinations, laboratory testing, and compensation for time and travel.
Patient Inclusion Criteria:
- Participants must be at least 18 years old.
- Participants must be willing to discontinue any laxatives used before pre-treatment visit in favor of the protocol-defined rescue medication.
- Participants must have unrestricted access to a touch-tone telephone for the duration of the study.
