Trial Information

Adjuvant Therapy in Older versus Younger Women with Breast Cancer: Longitudinal Impact of Adjuvant Chemotherapy on Functional Status, Comorbidity and Quality of Life

You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have been diagnosed with breast cancer and will be receiving chemotherapy. The purpose of this research study is to understand how chemotherapy affects an individual’s ability to carry out daily activities, other medical problems, and quality of life in older and younger adults. The study will also collect blood and urine specimens to look for possible biomarkers (biological characteristics) related to age. Your involvement in this study is expected to begin before you start chemotherapy and continue until 6 months after your chemotherapy is complete. After your active participation on this study is over, your medical condition will be followed indefinitely through review of your medical records.
