Long-Term Follow-Up of Islet Transplant Recipients

You have been asked to participate in this research study because you previously received an islet transplantation for type 1 diabetes and are no longer participating in the treatment study under which you received your islet transplant. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term effects of islet transplantation on health and quality of life. Your participation on this study is expected to last for at least 5 years. The length of follow-up may be extended in the future. If this happens, you will be asked to sign another consent form.
