New Oral medication for reducing the rate of clinical relapses in patients with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
This is a two year blinded study comparing two different doses of an oral medication compared to placebo or Copaxone (Daily injections). The primary objective is to determine whether the investigational medication is effective in reducing the rate of clinical relapses.
Major Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria:
- Ages 18-55
- Confirmed diagnosis of Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis
- At least one relapse within the last 12 months
- Must be able to walk unassisted 200 yards
- Must NEVER have taken Copaxone
- Must be off interferons (Avonex, Betaseron & Rebif) for 3 months
