Clinical Correlates of Immunologic Responses to the Flu Vaccine

You are being asked to participate in this research study because either (a) you are a healthy adult employee at City of Hope (COH) who will be vaccinated against influenza (the flu) by employee health services (EHS), or (B) because you are going to have a marrow or stem cell transplant and could be at risk of becoming infected with influenza virus (known as the flu) after transplantation. The purpose of this study is to determine how often transplant subjects get sick after getting a flu vaccine. Your participation in this study is expected to last one flu season (5 months) after vaccination.
