Trial Information
Phase I/II Study of a Triplet Combination of CBP501, Pemetrexed and Cisplatin in Patients with Advanced Solid Tumors and in Chemotherapy-Naive Patients with Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) and have not received any chemotherapy for this disease. The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of CBP501, pemetrexed and cisplatin when compared to pemetrexed and cisplatin alone in the treatment of mesothelioma. Repeated blood samples will be taken before and after the first dose of CBP501 is given to study the levels of CBP501 that stay in the body over time. Your treatment on this study is expected to last for as long as your tumor is not growing and you are not having any unmanageable side effects. After your treatment on this study is over, your medical condition will continue to be followed indefinitely.
