A Phase I/II Study of HKI-272 in Combination with Vinorelbine in Subjects with Solid Tumors and Metastatic Breast Cancer
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have metastatic breast cancer. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of HKI-272 (neratinib) when it is given in combination with Vinorelbine. For this reason, test article is considered both neratinib and Vinorelbine. Repeated blood samples will be taken before and after neratinib and Vinorelbine are given to study the levels of neratinib and Vinorelbine that stay in the body over time. Your treatment on this study is estimated to continue for 36 weeks, (about 9 months). If your cancer is stable (has not gotten worse) and your study doctor recommends that you continue on the study, you may continue to receive study drugs beyond 9 months. After your treatment on this study is over, your medical condition will continue to be followed on study for approximately 6 weeks.
