Trial Information
Randomized 6 week, double blind, placebo controlled, fixed flexible dose, parallel group study of lurasidone adjunctive to lithium or divalproex for treatment of Bipolar I depression
Blind, placebo controlled, fixed flexible dosing of lurasidone for treatment of bipolar I disorder with recent episode depressed with or without rapid cycling and without psychotic features with adjunctive therapy to lithium or divalproex
Patient Inclusion Criteria:
- 18-75 years of age
- Lifetime history of bipolar I disorder, most recent episode depressed
- Lifetime history of bipolar manic or mixed manic episode
- Current major depressive episode greater than 4 weeks
Patient Exclusion Criteria:
- Axis I or Axis II disorder other than bipolar I disorder
- History of non-response to adequate trial of 3 or more antidepressants
