Trial Information

Scleroderma - Adults

Adults with Scleroderma are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are 18 years of age
  • Diagnosed with systemic sclerosis (effects joints and organs of the body)
  • Have at least moderate skin thickening in at least one area able to have repeat biopsies (such as arms, legs, or trunk)
  • Are willing not to have other experimental treatment during study

You may not participate in this study if you:

  • Have a history of allergy or reaction to any component of the study drug (MEDI-546) formulation
  • Have Herpes zoster infection within 3 months before study start
  • Have been vaccinated with live attenuated viruses (e.g. chickenpox, measles) within 28 days before study start
  • Have a history of immune system illness
  • ยท Have tuberculosis (TB) infection without completion of an appropriate course of treatment
