Trial Information

Have you or someone you know been recently diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) or Usual Interstitial Pneumonia (UIP). If so, please contact Crystal Nagle at 610-988-4308 and see if this study might be for you.

This study is to determine if the drug Ambrisentan is effective in delaying disease progression and increasing quality of life and dyspena symptoms among patients.

Patient Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients 40-80 years of age.
  • Diagnosis of IPF or UIP.

Patient Exclusion Criteria:

  • History of Obstructive Lung Disease.
  • Severe chronic Heart Failure.
  • Abnormal liver function tests.
  • Patients requiring dialysis.
  • History of cancer within the last 5 years.
  • Recent history of alcohol abuse.
  • Patients who are pregnant or breast feeding.
