Trial Information

Do you or someone you know have a Diabetic Foot Infection or Surgical Site Infection and in the hospital on antibiotics. If so, please contact Crystal Nagle at 610-988-4308 and see if this study might be for you.

This is an observational study for patients already in the hospital and on antibiotic therapy.

Patient Inclusion Criteria:

  • Diagnosis of Surgical Site Infection or Diabetic Foot Infection that requires IV antibiotic therapy of at least 48 hours.
  • Patients 18 or older.

Patient Exclusion Criteria:

  • IV antibiotic therapy initiated more than 48 hours prior to enrollment in the study.
  • Patients with necrotizing fascilities, burns, gangrene, decubitus ulcers, animal bites, human bites, osteomyelitis or mediastinitis.
  • Patients whom an amputation or a complete resection of the infection site is planned.
  • Patients who are pregnant.
