Trial Information

Severe Chronic Hidradenitis Suppurativa - Adults

Adults with Severe Chronic Hidradenitis Suppurativa are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by New York University School of Medicine.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You have a diagnosis of HS for at least 6 months (180 days) and on at least two areas of your body
  • Oral (by mouth) antibiotics for treatment of your HS have not worked for you
  • You have stable HS for at least 2 months (60 days) before the study start-up visits

You may not participate in this study if you:

  • Have had prior treatment with adalimumab or other (e.g. infliximab or etanercept) anti-TNF therapy, or participation in an adalimumab trial
  • Have any active skin disease or condition (e.g., bacterial, fungal or viral infection) that may interfere with evaluating your hidradentis suppurativa
  • Have used Tysabri® (natalizumab);
  • Have a history of drug or alcohol abuse in the last 12 months
