A Phase 3, Multi-Center, Randomized, Double-Blind, Controlled Study of the Long-Term Analgesic Efficacy and Safety of Tanezumab Alone or in Combination with Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS) Versus NSAIDS Alone in Patients with Osteoarthritis of the Knee or Hip
The purpose of the study is to determine whether the study drug, tanezumab, when used alone or together with an NSAID, is more effective than the NSAID alone when used by subjects with pain due to osteoarthritis of the knee or hip.
Patient Inclusion Criteria:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have been diagnosed with OA of the knee or hip
- Currently taking naproxen or celecoxib and receiving some relief
Patient Exclusion Criteria: History of significant trauma or surgery to the index knee or hip within the previous year.
