Women 18 yrs and older with Locally Advanced or Metastatic Cervical Cancer wanted for Clinical Trial.
UVa Health System, Obstetrics and Gynecology; Gynecologic Oncology seeks: Women ages 18 years and older with locally advanced or metastatic cervical cancer for research study.
The purpose of the study is to learn what effects the investigational drug cetuximab has when given in combination with cisplatin and radiation therapy for cervical cancer. This study involves taking an experimental medicine, checking vital signs, a physical exam, blood draws, CT or MRI scans, FDG-PET scan, cervical biopsies. There are four visits every week lasting 2-6 hours for 4-6 weeks with follow up visits every three months lasting 2-4 hours for up to five years.
Study-related experimental medication, cervical biopsy and FDG-PET scan provided free of charge.
Participants insurance company will be billed for standard of care tests and procedures.
No compensation is provided for this study.
