Trial Information

This study is researching an investigational drug, K-604, to determine the safety and effectiveness of it in patients with atherosclerosis.

It’s time to have a heart to heart talk about plaque build up in your arteries. Ask us about a research study examining an investigational medication for people with carotid atherosclerosis.

To qualify for the study, you must meet the criteria below (other criteria apply):

  • You must be 18-75 years of age
  • You must have 16-79% carotid stenosis by duplex ultrasound examination, and visible plaque on B-mode ultrasound

There are other criteria relating to your general medical condition that your physician will discuss with you before determining if you are able to participate in the study.

Participation in this study may provide:

  • A study related health evaluation and assessment
  • An MRI, electrocardiogram and ultrasound
  • Study medication or placebo and study related procedures
