Migraine in Adolescents
Winthrop University Hospital Clinical Trials Center is conducting a clinical research study for children and teenagers between the ages of 12 to 1 7 years of age, who suffer from moderate to severe migraine headaches. This research study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug, for children and teenagers (12 - 17 years old) with migraine headaches.
Eligible participants will receive study-related medical examinations, research medication and laboratory tests at no cost, while they are participating in this research study. Compensation may be provided for time and travel.
To be eligible for the study, you must:
- Be 12 to17 years of age
- Has had an average of 2 to 8 migraine attacks each month for the past 6 months
- Is able to tell when a headaches is a migraine instead of a regular headache
- Weighs at least 74 pounds
