Do You Have Type 2 Diabetes? Are Diet and Exercise Not Working?
If you are having difficulty controlling your Type 2 Diabetes with diet and exercise alone, you may be eligible to participate in a clinical research study evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes. If eligible you will receive, at no cost to you, related physical exams and lab tests, investigational medication and diet counseling. You may even be compensated for your participation!
Criteria: You must be at least 18 years of age with a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes. If you are unsure of your diagnosis a simple blood glucose test (finger stick test) can determine your eligibility. Participants must be clinical stable in regard to medical conditions other than Type 2 Diabetes. You must not have received drug therapy for diabetes for at least three months prior to screening for this study. Call our recruitment nurse today to see if you qualify!
Exclusionary criteria includes: history of Type 1 Diabetes or ketoacidosis; history of bowel obstruction, dysphagia, swallowing disorders, or other gastrointestinal motility disorders or major GI surgery; history of insulin use for greater than two weeks in the previous three months or a total of greater than two months at any time prior to screening.
