Physical Therapy: Have you sprained your ankle more than once?
Researchers at the University of Kentucky Musculoskeletal Laboratory are looking for volunteers 18 to 45 years old with a history of recurrent ankle sprains to be subjects in a research study. The purpose of the study is to determine the relationship between Chronic Ankle Instability and single leg balance.
You will not be able to participate if you:
- have sprained your ankle within the past three months;
- have any conditions known to affect balance (vertigo, diabetes, concussion); or
- have not had a history of more than one ankle sprain.
If you frequently sprain your ankle and are interested in volunteering, please contact Patrick McKeon (patrick.mckeon@uky.edu) at the Musculoskeletal Laboratory
