Have you been told you have High Blood Pressure? Are you interested in learning more about High Blood Pressure research being conducted at the Billings Clinic Research Center?
If you have been diagnosed with mild to moderate high blood pressure or think you may have high blood pressure, the Billings Clinic Research Center may have a clinical research study that will interest you. Study participants will receive all investigational study medication and study related testing and examinations at no cost. Participants may also receive compensation for time and travel!
Patient Inclusion Criteria
Male/Female who is 18 years of age or older; must have essential hypertension and 24-hour mean systolic blood pressure between 130 and 170 mm Hg; willing to discontinue current antihypertensive medication.
Patient Exclusion Criteria
Baseline 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring reading of insufficient quality; currently taking insulin; high blood pressure as the result of another condition; history of myocardial infarction, heart failure, unstable angina, coronary artery bypass graft, percutaneous coronary intervention, hypertensive encephalopathy, cerebrovascular accident, or transient ischemic attack; moderate to severe renal dysfunction or disease; unilateral or bilateral renal artery stenosis.
