Depression, Anxiety and Bipolar Symptoms in Adolescents with Epilepsy Study
Schneider Children's Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center are concerned about teenagers' emotional adjustment to having epilepsy. We are conducting a research study that examines mood and quality of life to teenagers who have this disorder.
This study involves one to two office visits that involve filling out questionnaires and the possibility of undergoing an interview.
Research being conducted at:
- Schneider Children's Hospital
- Long Island Jewish Medical Center
Patient Inclusion Criteria = To qualify, you must:
- Be 12-18 years old
- Have a diagnosis of epilepsy (recurrent unprovoked seizures)
Patient Exclusion Criteria = You will not qualify if you:
- Have pseudoseizures
- Have other significant chronic illnesses
