Trial Information
A Phase 2, Open Label, Two Arm Trial to Evaluate the Efficacy of PF-00299804 in Patients with Advanced NSCLC After Failure of at Least One Prior Chemotherapy Regimen and Failure of Treatment with Erlotinib
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have advanced lung cancer and are no longer benefiting from the standard lung cancer treatment (chemotherapy and Tarceva). The main purpose of this research study is to find out what type and the length of response NSCLC has when treated with PF-00299804 given orally on a continuous daily schedule. Researchers will also be looking at the safety of this drug and to see what side effects it causes. Researchers will collect blood samples to study the level of PF-00299804 in the body over time and to find out whether biological and genetic differences in the cancer of different subjects are related to differences in the effects of the drug and to see whether the genes change after treatment. Also, tumor biopsies will be analyzed by laboratory tests to study the effect of the drug on tumor cells. Additionally, researchers want to know how PF-00299804 affects quality of life. Your participation in this study is expected to last for as long as your cancer is not growing and you are not having any unmanageable side effects. After your treatment on this study is over, your medical condition will be followed indefinitely.
