Acute treatment of Migraine when administered during the Moderate-Severe Pain Phase of the Migraine
Research study for patients suffering with migraines who have an active prescription for a butalbital-containing medication.
Patient Inclusion Criteria:
- Male or Female
- 18-65
- Active Butalbital containing medication prescription, that has been used within the past 30 days.
- Migraines with or without aura.
- At least 2 attacks per month.
- Able to perform testing on a electronic diary.
- Sign a informed consent for treatment.
Patient Exclusion Criteria:
- More than 8 migraines per month.
- Have taken butalbital containing medication daily.
- A history of any medical condition other than migraines.
Primary Outcomes: The main purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of TREXIMA and Fioricet in helping to control symptoms of acute migraine when administered during the moderate to severe pain phase of a migraine.
Key Secondary Outcomes: The safety and tolerability of TREXIMA will be compared to the safety and tolerability of Fioricet. About 500 subjects with migraine who are between 18 and 65 years old will be in the study
