UVA HEATH SYSTEM-HEALTHSOUTH SEEKS OUTPATIENTS FOR A RESEARCH STUDY

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of treatments directed at the ankle joint on ankle muscle function, balance, and motion.
You may qualify to participate if you:
Are between 18-50 years old
Have history of frequent ankle sprains
More than one ankle sprain
NO other spine or other lower body injury in the past 6 months (including ankle sprain)
NO lower body or spine surgery
The study requires 4 visits over 21 days
(Day 1, 7, 14, 21)
First visit will last about 1.5 hours
Other visits will last less than 45 minutes
You will be compensated for your time upon completion of the entire study.
