Trial Information

Observational Online Gout Study

This is an observational study of gout, conducted online. The purpose of the study is to determine what the risk factors are that trigger gout attacks. The study involves completing a questionnaire over the Internet each time you have an acute gout attack, as well as a questionnaire approximately 4 times over the course of a year when you are not having an attack. Each questionnaire should take about 20 to 30 minutes. In addition, we will also obtain copies of relevant portions of your medical records and/or copies of x-rays or other relevant imaging studies to confirm your gout diagnosis.

Patient Inclusion Criteria:
English-speaking people at least 18 years old, living in the U.S. with a history of gout, at least one gout attack in the last year, internet access, and a valid email address.

Patient Exclusion Criteria:
No internet access or valid email address. No physician-diagnosed gout. No gout attack in the last year.
