Molecular Pathogenesis of Therapy-Related Leukemia
Patients undergoing bone marrow transplant
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have undergone or are undergoing a bone marrow transplant (BMT) or peripheral stem cell transplant (PSCT) for the treatment of your lymphoma. One of the rare complications following treatment of lymphoma is therapy-related myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) or acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). The purpose of this study is to understand why certain individuals are at increased risk of developing myelodysplastic syndrome or AML. Your participation in this study is expected to last for five years.
Patients with therapy-related Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) or Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML)
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have been diagnosed with therapy-related Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) or Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) after completing treatment for an unrelated cancer or are serving as a control for a patient who has been diagnosed with MDS/AML. The purpose of this study is to understand why certain individuals are at increased risk of developing MDS or AML. Your participation in this study is expected to last for 30 minutes.
